Nozoil makes it easier for the nose to function. In addition to being a softener, Nozoil forms a protective film on the mucous membrane in the nose, thus protecting against foreign particles such as allergens. Most substances that cause allergies are proteins that are soluble in the water found in the mucus in the nose. Water-soluble proteins do not dissolve in oil. By adding oil, allergy-causing proteins such as pollen can become trapped in the oil, which is then transported away by the cilia in the nose. The cells of the nose are protected and allergic reactions can be reduced.
